I have been in advertising since 2007 — I started at a full-service agency, although my degree is in microbiology. In 2009, when online advertising began to break the offline market, I moved to an ecommerce store as a marketing assistant and focused on paid search and client service. Between 2012 and 2016 I also ran an offline business and studied how retail affects online advertising.
Since then I have been at SEOquick, responsible for SEO strategy, hosting the studio’s podcast and its YouTube channel. My core belief has not changed in all those years: in both SEO and paid search what matters is the brand, and a brand has to be built end to end — from the website and its content to the company’s reputation across the web.
