Technical SEO Audit

We find what keeps a site from growing in search: pages missing from the index, slow templates, duplicates, errors left by migrations. Every finding is checked on your site, and your developer gets a prioritised spec.

An audit, not a report

The longest part is checking, not crawling

A crawler report is generated in a minute, and it always contains false positives: URLs that left the site long ago, «broken» links that simply responded slower than usual. Fixing a problem that does not exist costs a developer weeks.

So in an audit we open and confirm every finding, count how many URLs it affects and rank it by impact on traffic. It takes several days to a week, depending on site size.

The same words cost from $33 to $2,035. The cheapest offers are a crawler run with an unfiltered list of errors; the most expensive bundle strategy and content into the audit. Our technical audit starts at $250: crawling plus manual verification of every finding and a spec your developer can work from.

What we check

Four areas where traffic gets lost

Indexing and crawling

We compare what Google sees with what you want it to see: robots.txt, sitemaps, noindex, status codes, orphan pages. We work from Search Console data, not only from a crawler.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

We check LCP, CLS, and INP per template rather than on the homepage alone: category, product, article. You see which template drags the site down and what to fix in it.

Duplicates, canonicals, and hreflang

We look for pages competing with themselves: parameters and filters, language versions without reciprocal links, canonicals pointing to blocked or missing URLs.

Migrations and redesigns

Before a move we check the redirect map and what could drop out of the index. After it, we verify that commercial pages kept their traffic.

Pricing

The price of an audit depends on site size

More pages means more manual checking. Every audit includes a prioritised report and a developer spec.

Best fit

When an audit pays off first

Traffic dropped or stalled

We rule out technical causes first: deindexed pages, a broken template, redirects left by someone's edit. That is cheaper than rewriting content on a hunch.

A redesign or migration is coming

An audit before launch costs less than recovering rankings afterwards. You get a list of what must not be lost in the move.

Developers do not know what to fix first

We write tasks a developer can pick up without a translator: the page, what is wrong, how to fix it, how to check the result.

A large site or a filtered catalogue

With thousands of pages, one template error multiplies. We check by template and count how many URLs each issue affects.

Process

How the audit runs

01

Crawl the site and connect Search Console

We run the site through our own tool and Screaming Frog and pull in GSC data. The crawl itself takes minutes.

02

Verify every finding by hand

The longest part of the audit. We open and confirm each error: crawlers make mistakes, and fixing a problem that does not exist costs a developer a week.

03

Sort by impact

Findings are split into critical, important, and cosmetic: what hurts indexing and leads, and what can wait.

04

Deliver the report and the developer spec

You get a prioritised report and a spec for your developer. The whole audit takes several days to a week, depending on site size.

FAQ

Questions before kickoff

How much does a technical audit cost?

From $250 for a small site, from $500 for a corporate site, and from $700 for an online store. The price depends on size: more pages means more manual checking. If you also hire us for SEO, the audit comes at a 75% discount.

How long does it take?

Several days to a week. Crawling takes minutes; the rest is checking every finding by hand. A two-day audit usually means the verification step was skipped.

How is this different from the free check on your site?

The free tool shows in 30 seconds what a crawler found. It does not filter out false positives or decide where you specifically should start. That judgement is the paid part.

What do you need from us to start?

The site URL, read access to Google Search Console and GA4 if you have them, and a developer contact for questions. Admin access is usually not needed for the audit.

Who fixes what you find?

Your developer, working from our spec. If you hire us for SEO after the audit, implementation is handled as part of that work.

Does an audit guarantee traffic growth?

No. An audit shows what holds the site back and in what order to remove it. Results depend on how much of the list gets implemented, and how quickly.
